I am all about aging gracefully. Aging is inevitable and part of life, so why not embrace it and do the best we can to age beautifully. There are many amazing natural ingredients with proven benefits to keep our skin glowing and radiant at any age.
The mask I am sharing with you here is a powerhouse to give you an even-toned, rested, youthful appearance! And who doesn’t want beautiful, glowing skin?
Ingredients:
- 1 tsp. Organic Carrot Juice
- 1 tsp. Organic pomegranate oil ( you can substitute with pomegranate juice)
- 4 tsp. Raw honey
Pomegranate oil is full of anti-oxidant and it protects your skin from free radicals (read our blog about benefits of Pomegranate Oil here). Sun damage is the number one cause of aging skin and wrinkles - the harsh UV rays lead to the breakdown of collagen and resulting in the formation of wrinkles. Pomegranate oil not only protects your skin from the sun but actually works to reverse sun damage!
In fact, according to Dr. Lori Shemek,Pomegranate Oil is one of the anti-aging oils you should be aware of. Click here for full article.
As for carrot juice, it works as a natural skin rejuvenator, due to the fact that is packed with Vitamin A, leaving your skin smooth and subtle. I am sure you heard of the benefits of retinol for skin turnover, well, carrot juice does the same without the harsh side effects of retinol.
Finally, honey is full of anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. This tasty ingredient does wonders; from treating acne to bringing back your youthful glow. Just like pomegranate oil, honey is full of ant-oxidant and helps with cells turnover and promoting new cell growth. It also acts as a moisturizer and skin-plumping agent. It protects your skin PH levels, leaving it calm, radiant and glowing.
Directions:
First mix pomegranate oil with honey, then slowly add carrot juice. Blend until ingredients are fully combined. Apply a thin layer onto your clean and dry skin. Wait for 15 minutes then rinse with warm water or warm washcloth. Do it once a week.
Have you tried this mask? I would love to hear what you thought.
