Benefits of Pomegranate Oil

If you are frustrated with skin discoloration, aging skin or just dull-looking skin, then this post is for you. I’m going to share with you the benefits of my favorite face oil and why I love applying it.

For you who have been following me, I have been talking a lot about my struggles with my skin and with all the different products that I have previously tried and used. I have very sensitive skin and it is also acne-prone. To make it worse, during my pregnancies, I developed melasma/skin discoloration. I have struggled with my skin for the longest time, ever since I was a teenager, from what I remember.

I have used a lot of harsh products like, Retin-A and Hydroquinone (which is like a bleaching agent for the skin). Both these products have worked and have given me results but they were very harsh on my skin. As I became more aware of the ingredients in the skin care and beauty products, I became disheartened about all the chemicals and toxins found in the traditional products on the market. So few years ago I decided to make the switch to green beauty and all-natural clean skincare and that’s when I started discovering natural and organic oils.

Today, I’m going to share with you my all-time favorite oil, which is Pomegranate Oil. There are so many oils out there and they are all amazing, but I feel Pomegranate Oil is the ‘unsung hero’ of all natural oils. Not a lot of people know about it or have heard of it. It’s an amazing oil and Dr. Lori Shemek even stated that Pomegranate Oil is  “one of the anti-aging oils you should be aware of”. Click here to read the blog

I am going to share with you a few reasons why I love it. Later, I’m going to tell you more about our very own pomegranate oil product in specific.

  • Number one reason why I love Pomegranate Oil is because it reverses skin damage! Pomegranate oil helps stimulate cell turnover and that helps with revealing a younger-looking skin! Say goodbye to skin discoloration and hello to fresh, youthful looking skin.
  • Second reason is because Pomegranate Oil is full of antioxidants that help fight free radicals, which in turn keep wrinkles and aging at bay! Therefore, it’s like anti-aging oil. In addition, it helps in protecting the skin from the sun since the sun-rays can damage our skin cells and that is what creates wrinkles. This oil is full of fatty acids, omega 5 fatty acid in specific – which helps with keeping the skin hydrated and plump, and anti-oxidants, that means it’s great for fighting aging skin and provides protection from the sun.  Personally, I love to mix it with my sunscreen since it gives a boost to the sunscreen. It’s a great way of getting that protection from the sun. It came in handy when we were in Florida a couple of weeks ago, I was mixing it with my sunscreen to protect my skin from Florida’s beaming sunrays.
  • The third reason I love Pomegranate Oil is because it contains a lot of anti-inflammatory properties due to its high Punicic Acid content, therefore, if you have any skin issues like Psoriasis, Eczema, acne or even sunburn, then this oil is great for those issues. If you struggle with any of these skin conditions then Pomegranate Oil is the solution for your skin woes! It soothes and hydrates the skin and also has anti-microbial and wound healing properties.
  • The fourth and last reason why I love this oil is because it’s great for all skin types. It absorbs deeply and quickly into the skin without leaving a greasy residue. It can be used by those with dry skin to help with moisture and hydration. It also works well for those with oily skin, by aiding in skin regeneration. This oil does not clog pores because of its low comedogenic rating.  Pomegranate Oil has a number one ranking so it works for all skin types. If you are acne-prone or your skin tends to clog, then Pomegranate Oil would even work for you, and also, like I previously said, if you are acne-prone, then this oil would help heal the and prevent acne due to the anti-inflammatory properties.

We import Papillon Pomegranate Oil from Israel and bottle here in the US. It’s 100% certified ‘organic’ and it smells amazing! It has a light sweet smell, which I love. It is a tiny bit sticky but it absorbs quickly into the skin and leaves no residue. I personally love to rub it on my palms and then press it against my face. I usually use it at night before bedtime and also mix it with my sunscreen during the day.

There you have it, my favorite oil! I feel like it does not get the attention that it deserves. It is an amazing oil, especially if you are looking for anything to help with discoloration, skin damage, or with aging skin. Pomegranate Oil is one of a kind, it will help you get this ‘glow’ back, and will also help with your skin tone.  Click here to check it out.

I love to hear what you think about pomegranate oil and how you use it in your skincare routine.
